Give blood; save a life. This applies to more than just humans! Dogs need blood as well, especially for trauma, surgeries or other medical issues. In fact, vets are already taking donations. Recently, one vet joined up with the American Red Cross for a blood drive . Both humans and their furry children donated. This blood will often determine whether a beloved furry companion makes it through a medical crisis.
Dogs are, surprisingly, not bothered by the experience . They are actually enjoying the visit because it's made to be quite positive with plenty of attention and treats for donating. Ask your vet if they accept blood donations or know of anywhere that does. Or does your dog already donate blood?
